Editorial independence

Our reviews and rankings are produced by an editorial team separate from our business operations. While affiliate revenue supports the site, no operator can pay to be ranked higher, receive a more favourable review, or have negative content removed.

Specific editorial standards:

• We only review operators holding a valid AGCO operator registration and iGO operating agreement.
• We verify each operator's licensing status against the iGaming Ontario public operator registry at the time of review.
• Review scores reflect objective criteria: licensing, game selection, payout speed, customer support quality, responsible gambling tools, and bonus terms — not commission rates.
• Operators cannot purchase editorial coverage. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labelled as "Sponsored" or "Advertisement" at the top of the page.
• We do not make guarantees about future operator behaviour and update reviews when material information changes.

Compliance with Ontario iGaming rules

Ontario's regulated iGaming market is overseen by two bodies:

• Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) — registers operators and gaming-related suppliers, sets technical standards, and enforces conduct rules under the Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming.
• iGaming Ontario (iGO) — a subsidiary of AGCO that conducts and manages internet gaming on behalf of the Province of Ontario.

As an affiliate marketing site, PlayOnlineCasinos.ca operates as an independent third-party reviewer. We do not need (and do not hold) an AGCO operator registration, because we do not conduct or manage internet gaming. Our role is to help adult Ontario residents make informed choices about which AGCO-licensed and iGO-registered operators to use.

We comply with the following AGCO-relevant affiliate marketing practices:

• We do not market to anyone under 19 years of age (Ontario's legal gambling age). Our site is intended for adults 19+.
• We do not advertise inducements, bonuses, or free bets to enter Ontario. Bonus content on our site describes what licensed operators offer; it is not a direct inducement to gamble.
• We do include responsible gambling messaging and links to help resources on every page that mentions gambling.
• We do not target self-excluded individuals or anyone who has opted out of gambling marketing.
• We use factual, descriptive language about casinos and games rather than language that implies guaranteed outcomes or "winning strategies."

Who can use the casinos we review

The online casinos reviewed on this site are only available to individuals who are physically located in the province of Ontario and are at least 19 years old. If you are under 19, or you are located outside Ontario, you cannot legally use these operators and should not follow the affiliate links on our site.

All reviewed operators use geo-location and age verification technology to enforce these restrictions.

Our relationship to operators we review

PlayOnlineCasinos.ca is not owned by, operated by, or affiliated with any casino operator. We have no financial interest in any specific operator beyond the affiliate commissions disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure.

If you have a dispute with a casino operator, please contact the operator directly or escalate to iGaming Ontario's player complaint process. We cannot intervene in player-operator disputes.
